Linzer’s Impact Pylam 3/8 nap roller covers are a solid everyday pick for interior walls and ceilings. You get 3 covers per pack, each 9 in. long, so you can put a fresh one on for primer and each finish coat.

Pylam is Linzer’s high-density synthetic lambskin. The dense fibers hold more paint per dip, which means fewer trips back to the tray. It’s rated spatter-free and non-shedding, and it works with latex or oil-based paint, flat through enamel, plus stains.

Where to use them

These 3/8 nap roller covers fit most interior repaint work:

• Drywall and plaster walls
• Ceilings
• Flat doors and smooth wood panels

For stucco, block or rough concrete, go up to a 3/4 in. or 1 in. nap so the fibers reach into the texture.

Tips for a clean finish

1. Before first use, roll a strip of painter’s tape over the cover and peel it off to catch stray fibers.
2. Dampen the cover. Water for latex, mineral spirits for oil-based. Spin or blot out the extra.
3. Load from the deep end of the tray, then roll it out on the ridges so it’s full but not dripping.
4. Work in overlapping sections and keep a wet edge so you don’t get lap marks.

Cleanup

Latex washes out with warm, soapy water. Oil-based paint needs mineral spirits. Spin out the cover and stand it on end to dry so the nap doesn’t flatten.
